A suit is not just the attire for men anymore, the modern day working women sport a suit in the equally elegant and perfectionist manner every day. And do not be jealous men, but your counterparts in office have more choices in terms of teaming up their suits rather than just wearing pants and shirts for every professional occasion.
However, the freedom in the dress code can sometimes turn out to be perilous as women often find it difficult to draw the line between what will be acceptable and what will be awkward to wear inside the office premises.
Today, we are going to discuss about what you should wear and what should be avoided in a formal setting so that next time you don’t spend hours being confused about what would look good on you and give your counterparts another reason to talk about how women take their leisure time in getting dressed. But before we get onto that, I hope you know that a custom made suit is the best way to go as it provides you the perfect fit.
What should you wear to office?
Well though you have many options and being a woman, you can venture into the traditional attires like summer’s favorite kurtis or every so graceful sarees. However, there are two kinds of attires that speak professionalism the most:
A skirt suit enhances a women’s look perfectly, provided you can carry it well. Ensure that you are wearing a straight skirt with appropriate length to suit the professional settings and you will be ready to rock your work day with those charming looks.
A pantsuit would look more appropriate if you are working in small industries with less formal dress code demands.

What color should you wear?
Although you can take the liberty to try different colors and you might manage to carry those well too, it is recommended to go for the navy blue, black or charcoal gray as they look more professional. You can even mix match your suits and women do not necessarily have to wear the jacket and skirt/pants from the same suit set.
In fact, you should buy avoid buying suit sets. Choose every dressing item separately and mix-match them.
Who should you wear beneath suit jacket?
A button down shirt in white, pink or blue would just look perfect underneath the suit jacket. You can even go for a v-neck or round neck top with an elegant piece of necklace for a chic look.
Though your sleeves are not visible when you are wearing the jacket, it does not look nice to wear camisoles to work place so avoid matching them up.
Make your look as simple and clean as possible – wear the minimal amount of make-up required, avoid wearing accessories that are too loud or a translucent/ lacy top beneath your suit jacket. Try different colors and cuts to find the one which perfectly suits your body type. Remember! You should be dressed in such a manner that everyone remembers you and not merely notice you.
